I wasn’t going to let a little snake get in the way of my bird shots. I heard they will hide in the sand which started making me think long and hard about things. They are the most deadly snake in North America, but I remember the croc hunter said they wouldn’t bite on land so I took his word on it. After that it was just avoiding rattlesnakes, and alligators, easy stuff!

Had fun tonight even with the rain. These were shot at ISO 1600 or above, some even at 6400 ISO! Amazing how far we have come so fast.

From the lenses I am carrying around, to the amount of gear. I found if it is too heavy to lug around I just won’t use it. So why have it if it isn’t being used? I purchased a new camera bag, the Think Tank Speed Freak V2 and it is perfect for what I wanted. It works as either a shoulder bag, hip bag or both. I found it to be just about perfect for a camera with lens, and 2 smaller lenses. Best of all I can swap out lenses very fast without sitting the bag down and it made me much more likely to do so.

Here are a few shots from the zoo today. It was a lot of fun to get out and it not be 100 degrees.
